From 2015 to 2017, the evaluation team from the programme, Servicio País (Chile) ran a pilot scheme of participatory evaluations in 8 social action programmes. As a result of the positive outcome, a methodological proposal has been under review since 2018 and will be extended in the next few years to all interventions as a permanent feature.
This evaluative proposal seeks to (i) incorporate qualitative evaluations to complete the picture of the programme which is thus far illustrated by quantitative evaluation. It should include subjective interpretations of participant communities in Servicio País social action interventions, (ii) incorporate group evaluations, considering that the programme operates on a community level, and (iii) empower organisations by building capacity in evaluation.
The document summarises the results of the pilot project carried out between 2015 and 2017. The video presents the experiences of participatory evaluations carried out in 4 interventions in 2017 in the regions of Atacama, Coquimbo, Valparaíso and Biobío.
